We provide houses for all sectors of the market – intensive, high welfare, free range and organic. We have been at the forefront of developing many of the design features incorporated into modern day housing, particularly with regard to improving energy efficiency and bird welfare standards.
As internal layouts are designed to suit each individual customer requirements, we can incorporate stores and link-ups as requested. In addition, our houses can be designed to incorporate any variation on ventailation systems – controlled environment or naturally ventilated. Our high welfare houses are provided with double glazed windows, with shutters operated by automatic or manually operated rack and pinion systems.
Hypertherm, our latest innovation has been designed with energy efficiency, speed of erection and cost in mind. The innovative approach using pre cast concrete panels internally and extending the insulated composite panel to the ground externally has been well received by growers and processors and has been acknowledged as another first for Turkingtons.
Our hypertherm house has rasied the standards for insulation and speed in which a house can be built in the steel portal frame sector.
Working with a major processor we were the first company to introduce natural light to brolier houses almost two decades ago. We also have vast experience in designing naturally ventilated houses, helping to reduce the energy requirement of the house.
Our GRP product has changed the face of timber framed poultry housing. Offering a maintenance free, hygenic low-cost solution.
“Turkington Livestock Systems designed, manufactured and installed our four poultry houses within a 16 week time frame. Allowing for an additional crop cycle in the first year, which increased our bottom line considerably”.
